Submission Guidelines for the J.G.M.F.

Articles submitted for consideration should be submitted no later than the end date listed on the "Call for Articles & Book Reviews". Submissions must be sent by e-mail to the J.G.M.F. editor with "Submission to J.G.M.F" as the subject and must be attachments in .mell, .doc, .htm/.html, .rtf or .txt format. Please include your contact information (name, address, etc.) and any affiliations that you have. If your article is rejected for any reason, you will notified at least one weeks prior to the publication date. If your article is accepted, you will receive a printed copy of that issue approximately three to six weeks after the publication date.

All articles should contain a brief (less than 200 words) abstract.

The Editor reserves the right to reject or return for revision any material submitted, on the grounds of inappropriate subject matter, quality or length. If your article is rejected because of a need for refining, you will be given a chance to refine the article and resubmit it, provided you meet the publishing deadline. When a manuscript is submitted to the Journal of Germanic Mythology and Folklore, it should not have been published elsewhere or be under consideration by any other journal.

Articles may be written in any standardized modern Germanic language (including Yiddish). If you are using any special fonts, special specify and attach them, if appropriate.

Please follow guidelines set out in the most current Chicago Manual of Style or, if appropriate, the Linguistics Society of America Style Sheet, making sure to be consistent in your use such. Be sure to list all of the works that you cite.
